Craigslist is my friend AND my enemy. Today I scored a set of 4 OEM MINI 15" wheels with halfway decent tires. For $50. For that money, I could dismount the tires, sell the alloys to the scrap guy, and come out ahead.

Oh yeah. I really have no need for them. At the moment, that is. I already have a better set of OEM MINI wheels on the Scion xB.

So what's the way to store them? Flat on the sidewalls? Vertical? Air 'em up? Air 'em down? Coat them in vinyl rubber protectant?

Flat on the sidewall, and aired down, but not flat. Maybe 25 psi?

I leave some air in, maybe 15-25, not that big of a deal if you measure it, just take some air out. Then lay them on their sidewall, wrapped in saran rap, and then put in them plastic bags.

I store all mine fully aired up, and vertical on a rack made from 2x4s. Never seem to have any issues with them taking a set ,or anything.

I never release any air pressure when I store snow tires for the summer or summer tires for the winter, although they usually lose 2-4 psi over the months. I store them horizontally, stacked on the sidewalls. Better than worrying about flat-spotting them.
