After Bricklin couldn't dump the little spitboxes on the dealers, he gutted them, built an external roll cage on them and tried to franchise it as "Fastrack". That didn't work, either.
I want a Suby van sooo bad. 13" wheels with 50 series Pirellies look like DUBs on there. I fit nicely in the front of one, as well, and I can think of numerous "real" drivetrains that would fit in back. Almost bought one in Washington state back in the '80s for $500, but didn't need another project. I dont' need one now, either, but that's not stopping me... ;)
I want a 360 pickup quite badly. Before I got the Fiero Formula, I almost picked one up for my $2009 build. The car was in good shape, didn't run, perfect for an EV conversion. The owner wouldn't budge from his $2500 price, even when I explained what it was for. The cab was tiny and of course the suspension was junk, but I saw a LOT of potential in that little pickup.
I still keep my eyes peeled for them out here. The pickup is the only one I'd have, and they just don't come up for sale very often! I'd probably still do a $201X build if I could find one around here for the right price.
