Had (or dad did) a 89 6000 in 03. Had the "low" tech 4cyl. Ran decent, good ac, and 34 mph. Not too shabby

They were always called Acadian in Canada. The name was previously used on pontiacized versions of the chevy 2 and nova. Similar to how the Beaumont was a Pontiacized version of the Chevelle.
