If there is one downside to the Penskes it's that there are more ways to set them badly than correctly. I have a friend who helps people with shock setup and his biggest challenge is to get people to stop touching things once they're good.

That is the proper color for a Viper IMO.

His car has the shocks setup fantastically. Luckily there are a ton of acr and ACRx guys out there running them and they don't mind sharing track and street setups as long as you are not competing directly against them.

Now you need a viper truck to tow your viper car

The punisher is awesome and this viper is awesome, but they should be awesome separately.

I am aware, they had a few of his vipers for sale. But made a deal privately with there blessing, I wanted some of the spares as well. No it is not home yet, untold misery of dealing with moving large amounts of money digitally which I did not expect.

It should work like this, I have money in a investment account, send directly to buyer. It actually worked out like this, takes three weeks to move money and have it clear to my bank, then wire the money. But apparently there were some tax things that I had not thought of as well.

So I took a loan out and will pay it off over the next 24 months or so. "Car payment" nation here I come. Something to the tune of 2.5K a month to get it paid off that quick.

Should be picked up tomorrow around midnight and delivered on Wednesday.

All stickers are coming off the car. I cannot stand them, wheels are being sold and going back to the standard OEM sidewinders.

I think you should have just bought a gen v viper. Still any ACR viper is BA.

I think you are nice to ask our opinion and buying a Viper just about to full race car spec is pretty bad ass.

I like the wheels and stripes, I am neutral on the Punisher stickers because they look juvenile. It is a lime green Viper, I think juvenile is just fine.

If you have actually owned on in the past you would understand my reluctance to buy another one. The cars are wonderful, the owners are mostly wonderful, getting parts so you can do your own work or use a independent is stupid and it ruins the ownership of the car.

But they are full of so much life and fun that it is almost worth it.

Funny, that's when I lost interest. I'm OK with push rods in my truck. Not in a "sports" car.

That's total nonsense on their part. When I bought my 360 it went something like this: drove to seller's bank with car, called my financial adviser's assistant (who already had the info for the seller's bank) and said we're good, she pressed a button, seller's bank said got it and immediately wrote him a check to go buy the car he had a deposit on. I have encountered the takes x days to clear BS too (never 3 weeks though!) but I saw it first hand.

For the record, the money was in a Morgan Stanley investment account.

It was a weird thing, all taken care of now.

FYI my wife's name is old Gallic and well masculine if you pronounce it wrong. so they thought for a second there that the other person on the wire was my brother which added a bunch of issue.

In the future, yeah pull the money out a week or so in advance and just pay like you did. My mistake, the rules for buying private party have changed a lot in the 10 years since I last got a loan for a car.

I'm a little surprised that Penske is the only company that can make a race shock for a Viper work for the street. I'm thinking occasional street use.

Moton makes a good three way shock that works on the street as well with different springs like the Penskies. Got to swap out the springs through for serious track use. The KW's that come on the ACR stock are not that bad on the track but HORRIBLE on the street. Yes I should have bought a Gen V aCR or TA 2.0 but it was 60K+ for the ACR gen V and another 15k for a TA 2.0 in good shape. Those would have been stock as well. Mine should go toe to tow with a Gen V ACR except for the brakes and I might be a little faster on the straights with the extra power and out of the corner with the better rear end.

FYI bank screwed up again and did not send the wire today but scheduled it for tomorrow when the owner is on vacation so looks like I am waiting another 9 days to get the car. Even though I am paying interest on the loan durning that time, even though they are like a few days behind schedule.

Idiots.

I will take a picture of it in front of the Garage. Even worse is I bought something else at auction and already have it sold in-between his post and this one.

FYI Nobody is stupid enough to own a Aqua Blue SSR, a Pink/Cream 57 Cadillac, a Red/White 55 Thunderbird and a Lime green ACR viper with skulls on it except me.

Things may have worked out for the best actually, I am on my way to urgent care for bloods and to have some fluids after work as I caught the black death over the last two days and have been working through it.

Nobody that crazy but a mad scientist living in a former porn palace, with a crazy neighbor, bumming around in a Ford trash truck (Liftgate), living in surf central that buys a house for the garage space?
