The COE cab is from a heavier duty truck. Looks like they put this one on a pickup chassis.

That has the clearance lights off a cabover c1600+(like I am putting on my '63), its a single speed rear end without a hydraulic dump bed and is a LWB version(prolly 12 or 14ft bed) and appears to have the 17" wheels......is that bad I can tell that from just pictures? That would make a nice hauler if someone were inclined.

Mine is a '63 IH C1500 15.5k gvwr with a 6cyl, 4sp, 2sp rear, SWB, and pto driven hydraulic 9ft bed flatbed/stake side.....To put a scale to this picture, the wheels are 20's....

I think I might keep the patina on the dash though.......and that is what the steering wheel SHOULD look like

Patiently awaits Steve to enter thread and one up the IHC with Clif-Ford......

IIRC, in that time period the 4x4 Dodge trucks were done by an outside shop, not on the production line. Similar to the Quigley van 4x4 conversions. A 2WD truck would go from the plant to the conversion facility, then off to the dealership from there. So this example could be all original.

It has a pickup bed......but it is a '92. Its no different than the old F100 body on the industrial truck chassis pictured earlier in the thread.......

For some reason I am wanting to call BS on that being a '70......it is probably a 1960(the bodywork isn't a box), but it is a travelall?

Mine is just the cab, body, and engine of the lesser ones, everything else is "medium duty"

The thread title in here should be "Light Duty" if you want to see 1/3, 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton trucks.....

That picture was taken shortly after I bought the truck. The previous owner for some unknown reason put a small spacer block between the axle and the front leaf spring. It has since been removed.

I guess he liked the pre runner look...

Lift blocks on the front axle are the danger.

I think it is cool, it was stock and it is definitely heavy duty

I really wish my uncle didn't send it to the scrapper.

They used to auction those off where I work, it was a collection point for junk within 250 miles.

Trucks like that went for $1000, first thing to do was swap out the driveshafts as they were loaded - unloaded with fork trucks from underneath.

Still worth $1k.

But since you seem to be having a hard time understanding the title of this thread, I'll explain.
There are heavy duty trucks, which are not pickups. Pickups are light duty trucks by definition. Of course that's not what I said in the title. It's about heavy duty pickup trucks. I obviously meant that some pickup trucks are heavier duty than others, and this thread is about the heavier duty kind. K?

I can't remember to be honest, I'll take a look tonight. I doubt it is though, too much plastic.
