This thread is exactly what it sounds like. Whether factory or aftermarket, all ugly wheels can be posted here to be mocked. I'll start off with an artifact from the golden era of Top Gear.

First two posted are the first two I thought of when seeing the thread title, but in reverse order.

(Not exactly the 3-spoke I thought of, but any 3-spoke will do).

Edit: My contribution:

Kid on the local Miata Facebook group (hey you gotta go where the deals are, doesn't mean you have to participate!) just bought a set of those cheap 90's chrome 3-spoke 15" wheels and was asking about tires to run on them.

I honestly didn't think those damned things still existed anymore. Figured they were all ground up and melted down for PBR cans by now.

He's got a very original sunburst yellow NA. Prior to this, he was asking about having his style bar powdercoated yellow to match the car.

"Interesting" dude.

So similar to this:

smh

It could be worse. The rims could be Aries wheels.

A set of Teddies came up for sale locally a while back. I tried to buy them, but someone told him how rare they were and he decided not to sell. I didn't even own a 4x100 vehicle at the time, but I NEEDED them!

3-spokes on Saabs are fine, but not on anything else. Same goes for gold on Subarus, only.

What about gold on a Miura or a vintage Alfa?

Almost any OE wheels installed on any production car in recent history. And 100% of all OE wheels installed on any production truck in recent history.

The 90s are back, you just missed the memo. This guy is building the perfect 1992 Miata from 1992.

This resurgence in the machined/black trend makes me gag

I will go ahead and pull on the flame suit and post these that I have always found distasteful

These were on my SHO when I bought it:

Ugliest wheels I've ever owned.

These giant Motegis are a close second. They were on my '91 MR-2 when I bought it.

I drove the car for less than a week before I removed them. Awful.

Second ones can definitely look trashy, first ones, they're not pretty but they're not ugly either IMO. They're plain utilitarian wheels.

A guy I went to High School with had the same hideous Prime 3-spoke triangle wheels on his 1990 Accord Sedan with cut springs and a fart cannon exhaust. He later switched to some BBS-type knockoff from Pep Boys because he said the 3 spokes stopped holding air.

I hate when a car has pseudo-directional wheels, but all four are the same, so that the blades are spinning forward on one side of the car and backward on the other.

I'm lookin at you, Mazda...

2/3 on that, for me. The top ones are utterly gag-a-licious. I don't mind the middle ones; slotted mags have their place. The bottom ones I don't hate, but they never did turn me on, even when they were in style.

HEAR, HEAR! Pontiac was terrible at this throughout the '90s.

I think slotted mags have their place on rolling chassis. Every time I see them, they are always dirty, just like that picture. Maybe they are before my time since I'm 34.

I don't think so. I'm 16 and I love slot mags.

Slotted mags also look better in a wider wheel with some dish to it.

Most rims are ugly IMO. I've never bought rims but my fiat 500 has the hardest rims to clean. Now considering actually buying wheels.

I never liked the look of Cragars, even on a period correct car.

I agree with the post above about the FR-S wheels not living up to the look of a very nice looking car otherwise.
