A nice lady just stopped in here at world HQ looking for the fabric store that's a couple blocks north. After a quick recheck of directions, she looked around at the cars in the showroom while telling us about how much she loves her Miata.
She stopped at the Model A, inquired about the model year, and then said, "Oh, my mother had one of those. 1929? Oh, my. I was 8 years old."
Yup, 92 years old and rocking a Miata. Maybe that keeps you young, because I would've sworn she was about 20 years younger than that.

That's awesome.
Reminds me that I bought my 1-owner 86 MR2 from a woman in her 80's. She didn't want to get rid of it, but just didn't drive it much anymore. It occurred to me she was still fairly "mature" when she bought it 20 years before. Cool lady.

92 years.
Born in 1920.
10 years old when The Depression hit.
22 years old when The Big War started.
These are the people who really understand GrassRoots!
Rad. I talked to my Mom the other day and my jaw almost hit the floor when she said she thinks she's going to buy a CRZ. Is there a nice way to ask "Can you make sure I get it when you kick the bucket?"
NICE! Wish I'd had a grandmother like that.

Just smile nicely while you ask her !
Please tell me you gave her a GRM sticker for her Miata!
I hope to be driving anything at that age

I hope to be breathing at that age. Driving would be a bonus.

I really wanted my Grandmothers 10 year old Malibu....that was in 1982. Turqoise two door with white guts. 350/350, litteraly Grandma driven.
She traded it off for a new K-Car

Do the maintenance for her, every time.

At 600 miles away, that would be difficult. Wish I could though. The CE light kept coming on in her 60,000 mile, 10 year old Saturn when she came up last time. She'd paid Jiffy Joe's $500 to "fix it."
I had autozone check the code. O2 sensor. Connection was loose. $.01 worth of tape fixed it.
She thinks the Saturn is a pile of E36 M3, because she keeps paying these knobs to "fix it." One of the guys at the shop offered her $1000 for it. I told her I'd give her $1,500, fly down, and ride to the shop together where she could watch me beat this kid's skull in until he lost motor skills.
