This showed up for sale about and hour and a half south of me and re-triggered me looking 4Runners: 4Runner in Lexington, KY
Did a little checking, and with one of the second row seats removed, and the passenger seat moved all the way forward, I could build a 6 and a half foot sleeping platform. Even though gas mileage on them isn't great, it'd still be a significant percentage better than a GMT800. Towing capacity is 5,000 lbs, which is more than I'd plan on. The price seems high on this particular one, but if it truly is rust free, I am wondering if they are at the bottom of their depreciation curve, and maybe now is a good time to buy.
Any thoughts? I may dig into 4th gen 4Runners, also. One thing I have been considering more of is it will be very hard for me to justify keeping my Mazda5 along with whatever SUV I buy, as my wife and I barely need two daily drivers, much less three.
