The trailer's all packed up, the spares are assembled and a 50 lb bag of cat food has been ripped open for the critters to forage upon. Tomorrow morning I'm heading out on the long road east for the Targa Newfoundland. I'm driving out and my codriver (aka my wonderful navigatrix wife) will be delivered via air mail right before I arrive.
It's not supposed to be this easy. I loaded the car in the trailer on Wednesday. Usually a race car demands frantic wrenching until 2 hours past your last possible departure time. I've obviously overlooked something huge.
Time for the big adventure to begin then. I'll have daily reports up at Targamiata.com if I can manage it. Here goes!
watch out for that house on the corner....somebody seems to hit it every year. That lady has got to be getting sick of remodeling her kitchen.
Saw some interesting stuff in Hot Rod about a car that runs that race. Looks really interesting, an old timey road race/ rally. Beautiful scenery. Please, give us updates and lots of pics.

Saw an interview with that lady, she didn't seem too upset about it. Apparently the drivers who hit her house have to pay for the "remodeling".
one day I WILL run this event.
not competitively, but i will run it.
(Targa New Zealand sounds fun too)
