True, and the stated tread width for the 225 was probably on a wider wheel then the 205 was measured on, meaning if they both came up with the same tread width the 205 was REALLY wider.

Still, i understand this idea of not buying 9" wheels just to run 205s. I wad just pointing out the irony of responding to a 225 and 205 measuring the same by saying my wheels are too wide for 205s when they measured, you know, the same.

Rival is now available in a 215/45/16, too.

I have some old rs2s in that size on a 16x7.5 and it's a pretty great wheel/tire size combo if it fits the car you're searching for. Unfortunately it's a bit small on my stock-height 626.

225/50-16 works well on stock 626. So does 205/55-16.

Yeah, i kinda wanted to buy the 225/50/16 Advan A048s on closeout on TR back when there was a full set but i knew that was kinda ridiculous for a stock suspension DD car.
