This was one of the best TNIA runs I have had in a long time! I went up to Charlotte and trailered my buddy's Richard Petty 200th win replica back here. It is a museum quality copy built by the original fabricator. Even the King himself has used it for photos and video work. We ran together in the Intermediate class and absolutely had a blast. His car wasn't quite geared for the speedway so we hung back and let the crowd get out of the way and then let the fun and games begin. By the time the last session came, we were on the radios and passing/swapping positions and I guess put on a little show. You know, when guys in $100K sports cars come up to you after and tell you that we were obviously having more fun than they were it meant something. The last session ended with a kid grenading his motor in the horseshoe and dumping oil right in front of us.
Anyway... thanks to GRM for being a huge part of this!
