My harbor freight unit worked for roughly 6 months. I recommend against it.

I had a AutoMeter BEX-1500 mysteriously fail within a year, causing my brand new battery to drop down to 3V. I got a refund and bought a nicer Battery Tender 4A 12V/6V compatible with lithium, so I can use it on my motorcycles too. It came with the SAE connectors, which I have wired into almost everything I own. So far so good, but it's only been a few months.  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XMJDJX7/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also have a couple of those heavier generic brick ones (roughly the size and weight of a brick) that have lasted 15 years and counting. Possibly just a function of them being built in a bygone era of quality.
