So I am looking for a 4x4 for off-roading and winter driving to work if needed. Truck A is an XJ Cherokee and Truck B is a Suzuki x90. I know the Cherokee is significantly better than the x90 for what I want, but i really want the x90 for some reason. Help.
Get the x90, that way you don't have to change your avatar.
I don't know anything about the x90, but I really love my XJ despite it being objectively terrible at what I use it for 99% of the time, which is daily driving 60+ miles round trip to work. As an offroader, it's fantastic and is just about unstoppable in the winter. Even before I lifted it, it drove out of my long, gravel driveway on crappy dry rotted passenger car all seasons in 31" of snow two winters ago. I love the 4.0's torque and rowing gears in the 5 speed, despite the huge throws. Aftermarket is 2nd to none and parts are dirt cheap. But that said, you gotta follow your heart.

Its a Geo Tracker/Suzuki Sidekick with a miata like body
You're pretty much talking about a toy. Buy the one you like. It doesn't have to make sense.
Pretty sure that I haven't seen an x90 in about ten years.
Wait you said TRUCK, I'm still waiting for the truck.

I've had 4 XJs and still recommend them, generally. I think you should get the x90 just because it's such a conversation piece. Way more interesting.

If you really want an X90, get one while you can. You could always get a Jeep later.
Buy the X-90, young girls will rub their hands all over it saying "Ooooo, it's so cute!"
Sorry, each have good and bad things going on, buy what makes you smile.

I love XJs, but get the X90. Whats the chance you find another one? XJs are everywhere!

Yeah, parts availability. I'd look into that. It would suck to own a vehicle you can't find parts for.
My wife calls the x90 "the stupid car"
Having owned both a tracker and an xj, I think the x90 is certainly worth checking out. While the xj probably has a slight edge in off road ability, my tracker was a much more comfortable place to pass the miles. Assuming you can get past the looks, the removable targa top and probably better leg room in the x90, along with the 50%+ better fuel economy, could be compelling.
My Dreams are Dashed. The X90 i looked at turned out to be 2wd.
If you get the X90, at very least paint it all matte black and put some aggressive-looking tires on it, so people don't mistake you for a teenage girl. I always thought that the concept of the X90 was pretty cool (and functionally it meets that expectation, I imagine), but man.....they are cheesy looking!
XJ is a great vehicle for utility and off-roading, but for general street driving, I didn't like mine at all (and it was even M/T!).
I never knew i needed an x90 until now. That looks like even more fun then my old purple tracker.

I always thought of X90s as Honda Del Sols that were in a funhouse mirror to stretch them taller.
I've never met a teenager in an x90. Though my bosses teenage daughter does drive a Jeep Wrangler.

It used miata sources review mirrors I believe.

in truth, neither have I. It just seems like sokmething a 16-year-old girl in the early 90s might have lol. The few I see around here are usually being driven by suburban middle-aged women. But then again, so is everything around here....
When I Youtubed them (always kinda wanted one) there were pretty much just X90's being used as 4x4's. Like God intended!

Actually, if you characterize the X90 as a Del Sol on a suzuki sidekick frame, it makes it sound even better than i already thought it was.
Around here, the X90, Jeep Wranglers, and the like are mostly driven by lesbians going through a mid-life crisis. Same with late model red Miatas.
