Looking at the P80 chassis (or earlier) Volvo wagons. I know engine bits swapped like legos for quite some time, is there a recipie for a fast Volvo out of junkyard parts? Seems like the transmissions might be the weak point. Or is it just better to swap a 4.2L in there and turbo it?
16v head and OE turbo manifold, IPD turbo cam, there are some turbo compressor wheel upgrades available and the fuel system can be upgraded to handle E85 (injectors, pump 4bar FPR, microsquirt) and you'll be pushing close to what the rods of the b230 can handle. as for transmission, the 5spd with overdrive and a limited slip in the dana 30 will help with longevity.
Is the OE manifold the same as the japanifold?
