The Porsche situation is interesting because pretty much everything prior to the 981/991 generation had full parts availability, to the extent that it's fairly common to mix and match gt3rs parts into other transmissions (for some reason on that one specific model the engineers came to their senses and gave it a reasonable final drive ratio). I think some of the earlier transmissions were aisin, though not all of them.

You can't do that with the 997 transmissions, so the mix and match really ended after the 996...
