I bought a 1995 960 as a sacrificial salt car (aka winter beater) & the Nivomat rear shocks leak. They cost $600 a side & didn't pay that for the whole car. Is there anything else that bolts in? Maybe standard shocks for a 740?

google "matthews volvo site" for all of your volvo needs.
Not as of a couple of years ago. The lower mount on the shock is unique, plus you have to change springs as well. I don't know if anybody has come up with a design yet. As I said in another thread, if IPD doesn't know about it, it likely doesn't exist in Volvoland.

How are you welding and fabrication skills? Coilovers would probably be made to fit, bit there will be no direct boltin, I would wager.
