What about a Ford Probe? Only the nameplate is US, rest of car is Mazda.
Those are 5x114.3. In a silly little related twist of wanting to use wheels with a specific bolt pattern, when i was building my 2009 challenge car i converted it from 5x100 to 5x114.3. Front was mix and match stuff off different models, rear was i custom drilled some damn holes and GOT'R DONE. Well, those wheels now live on my 626 GT which is the same Mazda as a Ford Probe.
Only ding against the 3g Accord is the single cam engine isn't as peppy as the DOHC ones in the Civic or Prelude, it's even less fun with an automatic.
I just got rid of an '89 LXi earlier this year. Bought it for $1400 2 years ago for a giggle after my last daily got totaled.

On to page 2 and the AE92 Toyota Corolla coupe still hasn't come up! Available in SR5 or GT-S flavors, with more tasty performance bits on the GT-S. Should tick all the boxes:
Let's just assume I dropped the 4x100 but still want manual, usable back seat, popup headlights and Japanese. Probably would be able to swing $5-$6k for the car at some point next year.
Cars I can think of that interest me would be
240SX (unsure on back seat and good luck finding one that hasn't banged in into several walls backwards plus I'd want to do an SR20 conversion and I don't know if it is easy to still find those motors)
MK3 Supra (from what I remember this could be an option)
Early first gen Eclipse (unsure about back seat and I doubt it would be easy to a GSX especially one with pop-ups that wasn't completely trashed)
Toyota Celica (I think I'd have to find an All-Trac though and I don't know about price)
AE86 (but price of these means it is out)
Nissan Pulsar (but it would have to be a Sportbak and I am not sure sure about the back seat again)
Maybe a first gen Probe Turbo (but that feels pretty low on the list)
Plus the Hondas mentioned earlier (I am always a fan of Hondas but the Accord would be last on my list unless I could find an Aerodeck)
Others I could think of but not really interested in Z31 (not a fan), AE92 Corolla (tbh I am pretty sure I'd always feel like I had a cheap replacement for an AE86), Mk2 Supra (rather have a Mk3), RX7 (but it fails the back seat thing so it is out), Impulse (parts available seems pretty poor on this), S12s (same issue as with the AE92),
What else am I forgetting?
If a 1st gen Probe is japanese enough for you, a 2nd gen might be too. Still popups and one of the better looking cars to ever wear them imo, wereas the 1st gen is among the worst-looking.. my .02. Definitely an entirely 90s vibe, though.
I like that you're budgeting 5-6k because that's what it's going to take to find one of almost any of these that isn't total crap at this point.
My FIL has a pulsar in his yard that we havent got around to fixing yet (rotted fuel tank, 5th gear popout and who knows what else) but i've never looked at the back seat. Judging from the front seat and what it looks like on the outside, im gonna guess its fairly bad. I'll update if i discover otherwise next time i go over there. It's parked right next to a travel trailer im fixing up.

The only reason I'd consider the Probe is for the F2T engine...
It would be cool to know on the Pulsar.
