I had to drive a car today with no windshield in it. That was fun! Glad I could cross that off the bucket list.

It only gets better if you had to kick the glass out first. Dont forget your saftey squints to drive it!
I had a jeep xj like that....she will not be missed.

That was my experience with a Cobra replica.
It's... interesting.
'looking over the windsheild' is how I tend to drive boats.
I drove a S-15 from the glass shop to the body shop and back with no windsheild. 30 mile round trip, luckily it was nice summer weather.
About 10 years ago I was on I5 somewhere south of Eugene, OR, and I passed a completely clapped out MK2 Jetta with two teenage dudes in it. As I pulled up along side them I noticed that they were both wearing ski goggles. I remember thinking "Well, that's berkeleying peculiar". And then, with only a moments hesitation, the driver extended his arm straight forward, through the space that would typically house a windshield, waved, and smiled.

Not the same thing...either one hurts at speed though.

This is why I don't understand people who ride without helmets. Safety issues aside, taking a bumble bee in the face shield at 60+ sucks enough, can't imagine bare skin would be an improvement.

Beat me to it. June Bug is like a steel jacket .45, Cicada is like a 12ga soft slug when encountered at 60mph.
So...what did you to the Javelin, javelin?
Try a flock of dragon flys! was doing 75-85 down the hi-way next to a long swamp when I ran in to dragon flys and lot of them. could not see a dam thing had to pull over and wipe the shield off. ICK.

100 mph in an Allison bass boat was a memorable ride. Wont be doing it again, but it was memorable.
Found myself stuck with a 1960 Bugeye Sprite as my only transportation on a cold and sleety day. No windshield so I could not use the top but a tonneau cover, warm jacket and a full face helmet got me 55 miles to work! Other than the urge to see if I could drive under big trailers it sucked a lot!
