Big v8 Lexus. Will make you forget about the semi boring commute, when it is gobbling up miles on the trips in amazing comfort and silence.
The GRM option is P71. Pick one up really cheap with a bad trans, throw a 5 speed in it, boom. Fun car, huge and good for trips. Not trying, the best I have done is 24mpg. Grab one with the 3.27 rear and it may go up a bit, most are 3.55. Huge trunk, large enough for 4 adults or a nap in the back seat. Fun car to hustle around.
