For an even worse idea, how about the unloved Bronco II?

A Sevenesque kit car - with the cylinder heads hanging out both sides of the bonnet.
Or one of those FWD Citroens that normally had a Maserati engine behind the front axle.

I tried tracking this down once but without any success. Anyone know more about this?
In reply to njansenv:
Why not put it in the back of a New Beelte, it would solve all the world's problems at once, right???

Probably because it is awesome.

Just eyeballing the two they dont look close, though I havent tried to actually put the two together.
I vote dune buggy or vanagon.

Shove the flat six where the firewall and passenger compartment was, and drive from the boot?
I'd love a dune buggy of some sort. Sadly there are no dunes around here. Just bad roads, autocross, Tarmac hillclimb events, and some ice racing.
The eg33 is all ready to go with a resurfaced flywheel and exedy stage 1 clutch. Would be nice to still be able to use these.
What about sticking it in the back of a small Japanese pickup?
Wow, lot's of ideas. FIrst off, you can easily bolt it up to any vw or porsche transaxle via kennedy engineering kits, so your options are wide open.
I actually am in the middle of stuffing an ej20tt into the back of a fiat 850 spider (can't believe someone on here already mentioned that.) and I saw another person on here today post that they may be looking to get rid of an 850 as well, so you could look into that.
Actually, there's an MGB in the family somewhere that is just sitting. It used to be my fathers. Anyone know the bay width on one?
For the MGB, I don't know the width, but at one time I saw a book about shoving a sbc in them, and if I remember right it was a tight fit width wise, and the chevy is only like 20 inches wide, my ej20 is 30.

Down low, where you'd want the EG33, 'bout 19 inches.

Substitute small japanese pick up for small Japanese van (Think that awesome mitsu whatever it was that what's-his-face picked up). Renault Espace f1 on a challenge budget!
