With the help of my bud John, got my new-to-me rx7 to run without the help of ether... Dead battery, 2-year old gas, and some dirty/loose grounds made the car not want to run. Didn't take too long to get it to this...

I have already watched it but I wanted to hear it again.

Your pain . . . Know it I do.
I went through the same fix this, that breaks party on the Dakota two weekends ago. Still have to do the A/C and heater core

Should be good to go now.

Tinted the windows in the Abarth, "SA" vinyl on the Subaru's side windows for rallycross (so I just need magnetic numbers on race day), checked the oil in both (Subaru needed a quart, surprise), and just generally enjoyed some sunshine and 50's weather for a change.
Rebuilt the front suspension on the SW20. She got new tie rods, ball joints, strut hats, torsion bushings, and sway bar bushings. All were original to the can and had 90K miles on it.
Also, loaded the 340 for the barracuda into the truck to drop it off at the machine shop tomorrow. Get that process started so hopefully I can get it done and on the road sometime this summer. I need to get the torque converter up to dallas to have that rebuilt too.

Installed coil packs and plug wires, then installed cross brace and hooked up associated oil lines as part of buttoning up the miata after a timing belt/water pump change. Basically took the day off from working on it. I did build a couple sawhorses to use in my kayak build and planted some tomato plants.

Primed over some rust repair on the G20, then torqued the flexplate bolts and mated the old automatic to the replacement SR20. Next on deck is cleaning up the engine bay and replacing the steering rack bellows before installing the drivetrain.
Yesterday was one of those days where nothing looks different but a fair amount got done. Front and rear shifter bushings and boot for the MX6GTWTFBBQ, sealant and gasket to oil pan, installed. Broke one oil pan bolt, removed pan and extracted bolt successfully with HF bolt extractor kit. Reinstalled pan. Midpipe reinstalled, passenger side brace reinstalled, new passenger control arm in place.
Also plastidipped the wheels on my friends new-to-him Challenger, that ate up my Saturday.
on saturday i bought a project car. i'm berkeleying stoked to finally start my own build thread!

Can't wait to see what it is!
Yesterday I put the new cold air intake in the Charger. Tomorrow I need to toss the Diablo on and reprogram the computer.
I once again ignored the increasingly squealy brakes on the miata...
this time to help pull the engine from my buddy's FD.
Nevermind that even I should be able to swap pads and rotors in a trivial amount of time.
I've got to start a build thread one of these days. Prepped my E30 to recieve this pimp new reinforced oil pan.
Then it will be getting further protection from the tank like Red46 skid plate.
I like this thread, very non-committal.
Picked up this grey cabinet for nothing from a friend and decided to make it a roll around with 2x4s from the construction site down the street and free castors from the scrap bin. Total investment, 12 Sheetrock screws and 16 lag bolts. Might as well call it free.
Small victories. Surplus Center fuel tank and an eBay mini bike carb on my ancient tiller. Started tonight, second pull even, I did a little happy dance.
I of course had to take video. Warm start, after the PB Blaster in the cylinder and headder paint on the muffler quit smoking.

Time to get my gardening on!
Finished brake job after work tonight on my 70 Buick Wildcat with 12" 4 wheel drums. New wheel cylinders, shoes etc.

The black anodized b-pillars on the Civic had faded to light gray. After some sanding and masking, Rustoleum flat black becomes a nice upgrade. Or, it will after a bit more sanding to get rid of a couple runs and adding another coat or two. Note to self: Don't do this again on such a windy day.
That same flat black was applied to a spot on the Prelude's deteriorating black paint. With another sanding block and an extra can of paint the thing might have something approaching a (temporary) 50/50 paint job.
Carbon fibre vinyl on trans tunnel bolted tunnel in installed datsun 1970 240 z seat in with the full length I love Cocomats Also drilled hole in drivers wheel well and installed hood pull Today install Passenger coco and seat for Marie
Today I restarted my long neglected project , thanks to the 'it ran when parked ' topic. After a new battery, fresh gas and a look over I gave it try. Nothing. Then I remembered , for some reason the starter stopped working. Finally found a cut wire that goes to the starter . got it to crank and run a few times, but as soon as I touched the gas pedal it died. Then the throttle cable broke. Oh well looks like I need to rebuild the carbs anyway.
Spent about 4 hrs prepping the FD for its new color. Spraying tomorrow.
Today I made progress on getting the cat eye speedometer mounted on my XR650L supermotard project. That, tons of sub system cleaning(just got the frame back from the powder coater last week-the whole bike is in pieces), Scrubbed the engine with a brillo, pulled the valve cover, and generally studied up on how to install my HOTCAMS brand camshaft. Baby steps.
