First item I ever bought off Facebook -
Finally added my go fast decal -
I fixed the brake issue in the rear. Got a noise and some wobble but it would shut up under application of e brake. as it turns out my rear lug nuts were loose...
finally got to work on my boat some. Spent the afternoon getting the aluminum rub rails off of the sides. They were held on by a combination of rivets, flat head screws, and misc Phillips wood screws. The Rivets and flat head screws appear to be original as they were interspaced evenly, but the Phillips were all over the place and ranged from short brass wood screws to a 3 inch drywall screw.
Now I need to spend way too much money on some bronze half rounds to replace the strips with
tryed to figure out my DD's brake problem after work between storms, no luck yet so i know what im doing tomorrow!
I fired up my Miata with the replacement engine tonight. Boy that feels good. Just in time for an autocross up in Packwood. Scotch is in order.
Tacked the exhaust together, made hangers. It's all 3" mandrel bent 304 stainless from the Y back. Still have to drop it and TIG all the joints, and add another V band clamp to make it easy to drop and/or add more quiet to the mid-section for places with aggressive sound limits.
Finished compounding the paint on the convertible, then cleaned, lubed, and reinstalled the front seats. A friend and I then took it for a drive. It feels good to be able to finally legally enjoy it on the road.
Well what did we do? We changed the oil. Drained and cleaned the brake fluid, cleaned out all the air in the brake lines. Added a connection to solidify the battery in place and basically just get the car ready for the track weekend in June at Watkins Glen.
Next I need to shop for tires. I have one more weekend of hard running left on these ones and then I will need to replace them.

Went to change the crank seal on the Saturn, wasn't leaking so I removed and cleaned the cam cover, added RTV and started to reinstall.

We just got a new stove now I know what to do with the old one
I replaced the front struts on my dd. Never did that before. Aside from bolts that hadn't turned in 15 years, and the parts store renting me the wrong kind of spring compressor, that was a surprisingly straight forward exercise. Next up, I think I'm gonna treat myself to a can of liquid urethane for my birfday and make some 80a motor mounts.
went and looked at a donor car for k member and manual steering parts, then decided im better off holding out until i can find a gt donor.
Went to Pick 'n Pull to grab some extra parts for my B3 project.

Not looking forward to pulling the head on this POS.
45 min latter the head was sitting in the dirt. Easy peasy! Also gave some kid a hand pulling a rusty door off a Subaru.
Installed the short shift adapter in the Abarth. Nice notchy feel to it. I has happy.
Tomorrow new PIAA lights all around, assuming I figure out how to get to the berkeleying things.
Assembled a cylinder head (first time assembling a bucket style OHC head. IT SUCKED) then discovered that the block was going onto was cracked. I think I may have sourced another block but we shall see.
Poked a little at the RX-7. Planned on patching a quarter sized hole in the wheelwell. First, let's air-chisel the spot welds for the nonfunctional upper link/rear seatbelt reinforcement plate that is directly over the rust hole.
