Slept in. Disassembled the PC and boxed it. Reworked the area where the PC was to hold all of the WiFi gear, cable box, PS2, DVD player and laptop docking station. Installed a wireless print sation (OMG I love new printers). Took a ride up to the Bitchin Camaro to drop off some parts I have refinished and pick up the next load I need to clean, blast and have powdercoated/painted. Stopped by the storage unit to get the Christmas boxes to tear the tree down today. Finally went to Meijers and grabbed some de-ice washer solvent and a pack of outdoor lights for the house...
So, really, I didn't do anything but it took me a REAL LONG time to get it done! I hope today looks as productive on paper.

Called in sick to work. Played XBox all day. I'd look at the brand new gopro on my desk and then outside to snow on the ground and then my mind would wander to the quad in the shed beggin to be flogged through the white stuff. Being sick berkeleying sucks
painted the 2nd bathroom (on my list for 2 years) and while I Was at it painted the closet next to it. Went to the dump, two banks, sears to get new sneakers (great deal on New Balance if anyone cares). Got wife a gold chain with a single pink pearl (second half of Xmas present). Worked on some software that I am developing for an hour or so as I had a revelation when I was trying on shoes that I had to try. Had two Rolling Rocks while my son and I played with his new HO train set.
same thing I do just about every saturday. Get up, go to synagogue, pray, eat, snap then at night veg in front of the TV with the wife.
Today will be more eventful. Lift is being wired, pulling the radiator on the soon to be totaled van (new radiator will be in tomorrow), hopefully fixing the wiper linkage on the altima (by fixing I mean install and connect all the new parts to the old wiper motor).

Finished up work on a 2004 Alero, wrote up the invoice, and started shopping for cold weather motorcycle boots and gloves online.

Realized how poor I am. Made me sad nobody wants to be my roommate for $500/month (all utilities, brand new condo, powered parking stall, your own complete bathroom). When you only net $2400/month, an extra $500 goes a long way!
Nobody wants to be your roommate because you live in berkeleying Canada. Nobody likes Canada. Not even Canadians.
I love Canada
How did you find a photo of Canada's only model?
I walked probably a mile and a half back and forth in 6 degree Fahrenheit with wind/snow, uphill both ways trying to find the health center....turned out they were closed....awesome.

I totally screwed up a batch of homebrew, then ate pizza and watched the Wildcard games at a buddies' place. Your day was wayyyyy cooler.
Woke up went sledding and snow ball fighting with the kids. Found out that my best friends brother's boss was gunned down in Arizona. Went GeoCaching in the snow to take my mind off of things. Ate too much Chili and drank two Tecates.
Put the kids to bed and watched some dumb movie.
Then Sunday I woke up and went to the store for dog food came home and found out that Canada isn't as cold as it once was.
Got my new project car delivered, then went to Harbor Freight and bought some jack stands as I expect to have to use them.
Today's job list is swapping out the neutral safety switch on the wife's Cherokee, going to the animal shelter to look for a self-propelling mouse trap and then play with the Celica.
Had a great dinner at Fern Hall Inn. If you are skiing Elk Mountain in PA... check it out. It was awesome.
Froze my butt off in the garage for a few hours, but i managed to get 18x10 turbo twists with 270 michelin slicks to fit on the front of the 928. Had to roll the crap out of the fenders but they shouldn't rub! They fit in the back with minor fender rolling.
Worked on my bike and then drove back to Huntsville and partied with friends.
Stuck a new fuel tank in my '58 Pontiac and played with the turbocharged Chevy 261 I6 project I'm working on.

I spent hours with a angle grinder and a wire wheel stripping rust proofing off the bottom of my challenge car.

Walked the dog, then spent the rest of the day on a buddy's CNC mill making brake caliper adaptor brackets. Nothing says "I got something done today" than freshly-machined parts.
Spent the day at the Roar Before the Rolex. Saw lot of friends and got some fresh air.

Went to an EAA meeting at the local airport. Talked to a P-38 mechanic.
put the new FM2 suspension on my car. LOVE it!!!!
Woke up about the crack of noon and fed the cat. Puttered around the house for a bit, then went to work.
For some strange reason, everybody else showed up for work also, so I was able to leave early. Stopped off and had a couple beers with some buds, then came home.
Spent a couple hours going over things to do on the turbo Miata, and worked on the list of stuff to order from Flyin' Miata.
Spent the rest of the night watching TV and sharing an order of hot-wings with the cat.
Overall, one of the nicest, most relaxing Saturdays I've had in awhile.
Well today is now Sunday...
I've spent the day realizing my hate and loathing of people hasn't actually gone away, it just took a vacation and is recharged for another couple of months.
On the flip side, my apartment almost looks like an apartment again!
I had a wonderful Saturday. Went to pull a part, got the part that i needed for the Volvo. On the way back, driver's side front wheel bearing collapses on the Furbyfur ZAV. Pulled into a gas station parking lot, started tearing it down. Got Froggy (Fit_Is_Slo) to meet up with me, had to travel to another town to get a new hub, travel back up to my work to get more tools and spent the majority of the night in 20 degree weather changing the wheel bearing. Finally got it fixed at Midnight...

That doesn't sound wonderful at all! In fact, I'd say that it was terrible!
Ohhhhhhh
I spent Saturday under the daughters Camaro changing the clutch and flywheel. All in all good day. We only broke one bolt on the exhaust. This morning I got up and went to church. The rest of the day I spent recovering from Saturday. I still hurt.

I spent a good portion of Saturday hoisting a cubic buttload of christmas decorations up to my new garage loft that I built Friday. Then I rearranged a lot of my garage mess and made room for the Miata to once again fit back in the garage - it had been outside about a week due to the loft project and my new workbench project.
This all sounds like it was mostly car related, but the workbench is part of my Megasquirt project - I need a clean place to rebuild my cylinder head other than the kitchen table. And I designed the loft to minimize the amount of leftover wood from the workbench.
Maybe next weekend I'll get my head reassembled and back on the car. Also need to figure out and make a mounting plate for my new fuel surge tank and fuel pumps.
