What's going on back here?
Doesn't look like a Type IV to me, and I don't think it's a Corvair.
A blurry one.
That looks like a type 3 cooling fan and shroud, but I can't make out enough of the rest to verify.
1600 cc Type 3 Squareback motor with an alternator installed and the generator taken off.

That is a VW Type 1 engine with Type 3 cooling tins. It is missing a piece of tin that normally goes up over the alternator
