whats the story on alternator charging them? I'm glad this got ressurrected as I'm in this position now. Buy another lawn mower battery or spend up for a lithium. However I like cold events which doesn't has me too thrilled...
I have been using antigravity and noco lithium batteries in the bikes for a while now. They have really impressed me.

I know the lawn mower batteries will be charged by the race car alternator. My only question is will they still have enough capacity to run the computer after cranking over 12 cylinders.
Throwing a rachet in the crankIt feels so smooth turning over I'm inclined to believe it will work.
I guess I'll buy one and see.
Been eyeing the options for when the 86's factory battery gives up the ghost, the PC680 is a leading contender right now. Antigravity's prices are the kind you need to be sitting down (or floating safely in zero gravity? 
) for. I'd like to avoid going over $200, but I do need it to start in near-freezing temperatures. Some options I had noted in my search:
