So, the Infiniti has a few oil leak issues. The major one involves an apparent crack in the lower oil pan- stupid and annoying, but easily fixed by simply replacing the pan (could get it from a junkyard for almost nothing, but given how busy I am at the moment, going to have to just suck the $30 for a new one).
But there’s also oil leaking from/around this thing, which I cannot identify what it is to figure out what to do about it:
it sits on the passenger side of the upper oil pan, just under the alt and has two lines that come out from it, with one each running to either side of the engine above.
What is this thing?

Hard to tell, but it kind of looks like an oil cooler.
From looking at the parts diagram it appears that the oil cooler twists on and has an o-ring seal like an oil filter. You may just need to replace the seal on it.
In reply to EvanB :
Fingers crossed that that being the issue.
It looks like there are two o-rings in the cooler, but hopefully they won’t be too difficult to replace...
Everyone else is wrong.
This video is correct. https://youtu.be/5hMAaOdNkgI
Happens all the time around here on toyotas, many of which have a nearly identical setup. O-rings will get you sorted.

As the old saying goes Harley's don't leak, they mark their spot.
