You don't like it? Here's the door.

We don't get to write the rules, but we certainly have to play by them. The fact that there are so few rules is what makes this place awesome.

Which is exactly why I'm here and not on hybridz or something. Plus who there knows about my zx2?! Roll with the punches and stick around. The moderators keep things pleasant around here.

Let me be a little more clear.

I am a subscribing customer, I don't just visit the forums. I have gotten other people to be subscribing customers and visit the forums based on my experiences here.

Now, I see people who can say all sorts of nasty things about a CAR thread because of it's format on a CAR forum. To the point where they wish ill will and say some very insulting things to make their point.

The stewards of the owners of this CAR forum choose to not remove the insulting/threatening/offensive thread but ban the CAR threads listed in that format. Where in another forum the insulting pictures were requested to be removed instead of the CAR information.

See the inconsistency in these actions?

The CAR forum owners choose to reinforce offensive behavior instead allowing of the annoying format of CAR threads.

See the point? The CAR discussers are being over ridden, by the offensive people on this one. If you don't like the VS threads don't click on them, don't comment on them. Use the "door"

After I have stewed on this over night this truly is a business decision for the CAR magazine. Let people talk about cars or not, it's as simple as that. I can only suggest as a customer what to do. In the end Tom has to decide, then I will make my decision.

Ok--I realize I was a little heavy handed last night. You can go ahead with the VS threads.

I apologize for any inconvenience, heartache, angst or sad puppy eyes this may have caused.

I don't recall the GRM overlords requesting that your bare bottomed lass be removed. I do recall it having been another forum goer that saw potential issue with it. Therein lies the great thing about this forum. WE MODERATE OURSELVES! Don't post douchey stuff, and nothing will get banned.

I have been here for several years, and have yet to be asked to remove anything I have posted. Err on the side of caution and you won't have a problem. Or's we's gonna have a prollem?

Also, it seems like they do genuinely try to consider what the masses want, which pretty cool in my opinion.

And the fact that the Scorched Earth policy has been summarily lifted in response to public opinion, I think a few folks in this thread should be thanking Per.

For the record, I too am a subscriber I have been for about 15 years (I am old and lose track of exact dates, but I have every issue of GRM since I have been a subscriber). I love this publication and I love this board. I have no intention of depriving myself of either. I was just shocked that a car-related post (or posts) were removed. That is all.

OK, VW Type II versus Gen I Dodge Caravan.
