So after finishing glazing another set of pads on the Crown Vic, I decided to plunk down a few bucks on what seems to be decent pads. Does anyone have any experience with PFC's 02 pads? I'm assuming they bed in like most. How's longevity and stopping power?
Never heard of 02's, but the PFC01's were my mainstay pad in a 3500 Lb car on the track. They wore well, ran clean, didn't smear the rotors and provided consistent stopping power. Maybe a little less initial bite than some other pads but very predictable. Highly recommend the 01 for a heavy car.
Used to run PF on a C4 in autocross. Good pad for street use and ok but not amazing for autox. I eventually switched to Hawks but lots of guys in Street used PF for the lifetime guarantee, which I think is no more.
I've always been pretty happy with PFC's pads. I've run them on a '96 Taurus (all 4), a 2001 Taurus, a '96 F-150, and my Fairmont for quite some time. They seem to take real good care of rotors, and the only time they scared me was the first time after pulling out. They don't stop the greatest when they're dead cold.
