@Patientzero I would give serious consideration to dropping the power, especially if the car is more competitive in the next class down for time trials. This will help on the transmission front as well.
The A052s are a 200TW, not super stick but not rock hard either. I'd see if you can find some harder tires and do one track day. Keep in mind your approach will need to change, it won't be about lap time but about mastering the tire limits. Everything from your brake points to turn in speed will be at a much lower level but it will accomplish the training you want. You will learn a lot.
