BS! 38k? for a 3?
I think the grand touring starts at 25, base model is 18.
the 6 grand touring can get to 38k pretty easy though.
Can't say except there was one in the showroom while I was having my 5 serviced, 37.5. They have a whole lot of 3s and the 6s are flying out.

Mazdaspeed models for all bodies!
I'm still on the fence on the new one. The hatchback has those "MySpace Angles", you know, when they look great from one way but extremely questionable from others. I think the hatch needs a longer spoiler, and they look terrible on the 2.0's 16" wheels. They look too small for the car.
Call me nuts, but I actually prefer the looks of my 2012 over the new ones. The 2012 refresh got rid of most of the goof-jaw front end that the 2010-11 models have, and gave it circular foglights and better looking wheels. It's a well-balanced looking car.
And yes, I'm waiting for a turbo, a diesel, or both as well. If any of those happen, the new 3 will make the list for replacements for my current car.

i just built one on the corporate site. Every option. I just barely cracked $30k msrp.
Yeah you fully load up a new 3 and its just in the entry level 6 territory. Its not like GM they have overlap.

I'm going to test one. If they're moving so slow, maybe I can score a deal. My wife really likes the last generation and has indicated that she'd rather have one than the CX-7 that she currently drives.
Pop is looking at one and cross-shopping the Jetta and Impreza Wagons. Mostly ecause the visibility is better than nearly anything else on the market and his girlfriend has vision out of one eye so the visibility issue is critical for something she'll be driving. He really liked the 3 and the way it drove and the backup camera was a nice touch. Something the Jetta didn't have.
One thing that I find annoying is that if you want the bigger motor you have to shell out another 6 grand. I can't imagine that Mazda's cost is more than a few hundred bucks, but they have to saddle you with things like leather seats, which I expressly do not want, if you go for the power.
I keep telling you, they need that halo car.

And the bigger engine is NOT available with a 6 speed manual from what I can see!

Just picked one of these up for the wife, who is tired of driving a GM minivan. The 3 hatch version seems to be a good cargo carrier and of the various cars in the class that I/we looked at, is least likely to bore me to death when I have to drive it - pretty decent chassis and handling, although of course I'd have liked to double the horsepower....but then the Mazdaspeed cars, while light and having very good power out of the turbo engine, are also FWD with all the torque steer and what not that comes with it. A friend's kid has one that he hopped up even more (bigger turbo etc.) and it is almost undrivable if you get on it hard off the line, which is of course the normal driving mode for a young guy with a car like that.
I picked up a remaining 2013 at a $4K discount to clear them out - same or lower price than a used one around here. Out of consideration for the world at large, I also specified a bright red one, to at least give other drivers a warning that the wife is coming, and a decent chance to run and hide (the driving skill in the family is definitely not on her side).
I see issues on the user groups about the cars having a spec rear camber of around -1.5, but the dealers won't do anything about it until it goes beyond -2.5, and as it isn't adjustable unless you fit after market threaded suspension arms, you wear the rear tires out quicker than blinking. Anyone got any advice on that? Guess I'll do a quick alignment check and see if it is on the lower side of spec.
I've got 20k miles on my 2012. Haven't even noticed.

Yeah, I wonder if they over-contented it. As it happens, you can get a Mazda6 with the 2.5 cheaper than you can get the 2.5 on the 3!
