I do believe that is a previously rebuilt engine judging by the heat button on the freeze plug.

I hope so. Actually, i don't really mind either way, as long as it is long lived its too much like work changing neon engines .
Clear rtv seals and heat indicator on freeze plug scream junkyard to me. Crappy junkyard.
Only has to get you past the 30 day warranty.
This is, of course an opinion.
The previous owner is the clear silicone. It was only on the parts that have to be swapped onto the longblock for the neon swap.
In other news:
This is where it stops. Every gasket except valve stem seals and head gasket. Everything cleaned and painted except bolt heads.
Inside of this engine was SPOTLESS. im hard pressed to believe it has more than 50k on it. Still need to get new plugs for it, but im calling it DONE.
I think you will be glad you did this much. Good news that it is so clean inside. Now looks great outside as well.
