I can’t seem to find it.
I think it may have been in the May 2017 issue, but I have as yet to confirm that. Can anyone point me to a link to the article? I no longer have that issue and the eBay tire discount ends tomorrow.
"Taking Street Tires to the Max"
Thanks.
You people have failed me...
Even so, I just ordered a set of Continental Extreme Contact Sports and I will review them myself.
That is the correct article! Unfortunately it is not currently on the site.
To give you a taste though and confirm your decision: the highlighted results of that comparison showed that the Continental loves deep trail braking and can combine it with forward motion to exit corners faster. While the Michelin is a great benchmark for autocrossing, the Continental tire seems to multitask better at the limits of grip. It has slow and progressive breakaway characteristics and resulted in a 6-second difference on a wet track in the live test.
If I had to put my money on the line and decide between the two, the Continental seems like a great bet for confident street driving and predictable track use.
