The car didn't have a motor and the 3.0 i4 ain't exactly cheap.
I'm not saying i would have done this swap (not in a million years, in fact), but i get it.

If the trans is in the front, what suspension is in the rear? The handling balance of the 968 comes from the transaxle. Move the trans to the front and you have messed with a good thing. The 968 transaxle is one of the biggest improvements over the 951 transaxle, 6 speeds and LSD.
