I begin to think my new saab, built in 1987.. is low miliage at 160,000
My dd 98 Neon R/T coupe 310,000 miles Wife dd 98 Neon R/T sedan 450,000 miles Expo truck / ZAV 87 Toyota 4Runner 200,000 give or take
Wow, I was pretty proud of the 351,000 on my '85 SAAB 900s until I saw Speedbiu... Beyond standard maintenance: one set of alternator brushes, one waterpump, one exhaust. My 1978 SAAB 99 turbo had 324,000 when I rebuilt the motor. I am guessing it has ~345,000 now.
'03 TDi - 258k ( and climbing) '03 MCS (hers) 98k
Secondary and classics: '95 Cummins 4x4 - 263k '88 325is - 212k '73 1800ES - 211k
Barring anything drastic, the VW will pass the truck sometime in the Fall and hit 300k sometime next year.
This thread is funny. Once you get past 3 vehicles or so it's hard to call them DD's anymore, or at least call them YOUR dd's.. Some of these posts seem to be talking about WD's (weekly drivers) or worse.
I put 130 miles on my DD today. It has had 34k put on it in the last 16 mo. That is because i drive it nearly every day, not because i COULD drive it nearly every day.. but because i DO.
My magnum has had 14k put on it in the last 18 mo.. because it sat completely unused (0 miles) for 8 of them and is only used for in-town trips.
I bought my 300sd with the odometer stopped at 376k so I have no idea what it has on it. My dads 96 legacy has close to 390k, and both my mom and sister drive cars with under 150k. My dad also has a neon with 365k, a failed clutch cable locked the engine up and we didnt discovry the problem until after buying a replacement engine fromt he junkyard, so it will be back on the road eventually.
my leased dd gets traded in at 90K, current 2011 dodge journey has 18k. i got it in April when i turned in my '09.
Good to see another Chevy Venture with over 200k
Wife's '99 has 191k
My '00 Sable has 135k
Purchase price for both our DD's was $750 for the van and $1,200 for the Sable.
That should put me in the running for something.
Daily Driver WRX = 197k
Occasional Driver Jeep = 252k
Fast Driver Civic = 227k
Tow Driver Silverado = 89k

I agree, except for households with more drivers.
I have 4 drivers in my household. I listed 4 cars, all of which I own.
I could get my average up a LOT higher if I only included my own dd. It has 415K on it.
My 2003 Express 2500 has 320k
My wife's WRX has about 125k
My Land Rover has about 125k (that's a million in Honda miles)
MrJoshua wrote: My Land Rover has about 125k (that's a million in Honda miles)
if I wrote elementary school grammar tests, i'd include something like this:
Land Rover Miles : Honda Miles :: Dog Years : People Years
99 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 - 225,000 - my DD 2000 Sunfire SE Coupe - 120,000 - wife's DD 2000 Chevy Impala 9C1 - 115,000 - son's DD
Until I can buy a Duramax, I'll keep driving the truck I have
CRX B16, 305,000 miles, but like Abraham Lincoln's axe it is on its fourth engine and about its third chassis. C5 Corvette, 148,000 miles NB Miata, 80,000 miles, which replaced a crashed NA that had made 155,000.
2000 Jeep Cherokee 176,000
1990 MX6 GT Turbo 185,000
Non-dailies:
1992 Celica GT 253,000
1993 Escort GT 286,000
2004 Mazdaspeed miata 70,000
1999 Z3 Coupe 179,000
1999 RX300 276,000
1965-70 Triumph Spitsix Total of 12 miles in the last 24 years (i am hoping to double that mileage by eary Oct)

I was actually going to mention your post as a caveat but i didnt want to presume to draw a line in the sand of who (drivers) should be included and who shouldnt.
i thought of starting this thread because i was arguing with someone a few days ago that the security of a warranty and the new car smell don't justify the monthly payment, and i used my DD's as an example. of course, the third car in my two-driver household makes my vehicle strategy work. buy used, drive forever, DIY fix when required. my wife's '03 Ody is the last new car we'll buy for a long time.
Wow, some of these numbers are incredible! We're planning on running the current fleet into the ground, and it looks like we have some catching up to do:
Currently, my 95 Dakota rolls with about 113k on it, but it's a Chrysler.... So, it is amazing it is still on the road, seriously. The wife's Avalanche has 126k on it and needing a ton of repairs still. Mother in law's Impala is the lowest of them all at 42 or 43k on it, but it eats oil like crazy. I also have my yard ornament F250 PSD with 213k on it, but I haven't driven it in 4 yrs at least.
Edit: As to "warranty", like the old commercials/banners for one of the fast food auto parts stores, "I am the warranty."
weird, both DD's we have show about the same mileage.
Girlfriend's '00 grand am - 175,000 mi My '97 Neon - 163,000 mi My '83 Camaro - 72,000 mi
DD 2011 Elantra since May 18K Ford Expedition wifes truck/tow beast 210K Son's E46 330xi 105K The rest, hell I don't even look
