Dodge is a tough one because it's confusing what cars are 5 on 114 and what are 115, and I have very strong beliefs about not inter-changing those.

Well there goes my idea then. I have very strong beliefs about it too but im guessing they are opposite yours. You should see some of the 'questionable' stuff that has been holding up for over a decade on my cars.

Best of luck.

Fun fact: The W-Body Grand Prix and Impala are listed as having a "5x115mm" bolt pattern. The front brake rotors are actually listed as having a "5x114.3mm" bolt pattern. So even GM interchanged them with abandon. Yes, the rotors are left over from a different car, and the hubs are 115mm.

Not 17", but 3rd gen RX-7 rims are 16x8" 114.3mm 5 lug, 50mm offset.

The S2k AP2 rear wheels are 17x8.5", but have a strange offset 65mm.

Check out Z32 or 240SX wheels. Maybe Lexus SC300/400 wheels too?

I've found that for wide, high offset, 5x4.5"wheels the most cost effective option is usually OEM Mitsubishi wheels from one car or another. I have a couple of sets from something in 16x8 that were nearly free.

False. I'm not sure where you get your info, but what you state is not true... probably the result of jobber catalog errors. Tell me what 5 on 114.3 rotors GM had "left over", never having produced anything using that bolt pattern.

the W body rotors have that weird bolt circle spec because the holes are drilled extra large to accommodate the other application that they are used for... the 98-02 F body (Camaro, Firebird) uses that same rotor and has a 5X4.75 bolt pattern... on the W bodies, the studs wind up in towards the center of the hole... on the F bodies, the studs wind up on the outer edge of the holes..

fun fact: the lighter and stiffer 98-02 F body 2 piston aluminum PBR caliper is a bolt on swap to the W bodies..

not that any of this has anything to do with someone that should just find some late model Ford Mustang wheels and be done with it..

Mustang was the first thing that came to mind here too. Or Crown Victoria cop car wheels.

There were mitsu 16x8s on early Stealth and 3000gt but i imagine they are pretty heavy. There were 17x8s too, even heavier.

evo8-9 i think had 17x8. Not exactly much cheaper than aftermarket.

Mitsu 3kgt vr4, dodge stealth turbo. The turbos had 17x8.5 up until '97ish where they switched to 18's

If you want to run cheap take-offs, you might start looking at 18s, my buddies that do track stuff have been telling me take-off 17s are getting harder to find.

All in what you want to run.

I can think of a lot more 18x8 OEMs than 17x8.

Rears off the 300ZX TT's were 16x8.5, and FD RX7 wheels were 16x8(light, too). I think the offsets are in the 45-55mm range.

Bore them out?

Well, going down to 7.0" wide should widen the options by about 1000%, the downside being you have a totally plebeian wheel width that will only take a 225 width tire (at most) for a racing app.

You'll need to log in to post.
