my uncle that has wanted the plymouth gasser since he saw it made me an offer i could not refuse, and he is getting ready to pick it up and finish it. car will be going right from my garage to sheet metal guy for floors and firewall, then to his buddy's shop to pull the body off and finish weld the chassis and do the cage. i'm making $ on the deal and keeping much of the extra stuff that came with the car. he's even giving me both axles back as he's going 9" and a speedway straight tube axle up front.

i had 2 projects in the garage this winter and basically sold them both last week. hence i've got a stash to buy a pre-made car if one comes along at a steal to my door before september, if not then i'll start scrambling to find something.

while i'd love nothing more than to have my name associated with the prestigious nelsons, my time is mostly taken now being dad so going out of state to play cars with the guys time has gone away. i'm trying to talk the wife into letting me run the new 9-7x at wilmington if i can't get anything else put together.

manual? check. ready for 350? check. 2 door rear wheel drive? check. biggest sway bars you can get on a s-series? check. easily/cheaply dropped? check. easy bolt pattern to get any kind of wheel you want? check.

seriously. make it happen. someone go buy it for me and start it north. go offer 500 and i'll still give you the 750 they're asking. i have the 350 with s10 swap pan and mounts already. clutch/flywheel/headers/fuel regulator and it's running. $300 would get it 3/4 lower, and it needs 15x10's.

i'm going to just add here that i do have a car, i did drive it off the trailer, i am putting that cheap 350 in it, and i have already sent in my registration. i can not say what it is, you can find that out in october.

I was going to say that if you can't make it with your car, try to join a guy so you're now on a team.

Let me know if you want me to drag you out an Opel next weekend. Probably still enough time to get the back seat cut out and replaced with the rendezvous drivetrain, or just use the engine with a s10 or Camaro transmission and drop it in.
