That movie kind of gets forgotten, but it's pretty good. Great performance by Richard Pryor.
Probably the first "car" movie I remember watching was Greased Lighting a long time ago.
Coincidentally, I was reading about that movie earlier today. They definitely took some liberties with the story, but that's not too surprising.
