^Yeah, it sucks. I've had a Gmail account since back when they first started and you had to use the invite system.
Although I've never had a problem registering it anywhere.

I'm admin for a local club forum, and I have to delete at least 10 applications for everyone I approve. I let one thru by accident, and every section of the forum was hijacked by some really objectionable material. If I had $1 for every cheap pharmacy, Vyagra sales person and gmail account that was a spammer, I could buy a Hi-cost, never mind a Locost.
Ok, I'm far from a computer expert so thanks for explaining this to me. I do have a hotmail account but I never had any problems. I thought the whole "type in the words in the box exactly as they appear" is supposed to prevent computer generated attempts at getting on to a forum. ?????
So you mean to tell me some guy makes a living by logging on to websites and when he sees a thread titled "What car should I get for my cousin's,friend's, brother-in-law's nephew", the guy will type in "Get a miata but buy some viagra from me, here's the number?"

Alright, I know this website can be a little clique but even though I see references to canoe and berzerkley occasionally, I don't know what it means so I guess I'm not a part of the club dang it.
I've not been on here all that long but the best I've figured out is berkeley is the "get past the filter word" for the "f" word and E36M3 is the "get past the filter word" for the "s" word.... I really can't help with what "Bob Costas" is in place of....
I believe Bob Costas is the filter's replacement for a certain term relating to the female anatomy. Canoe is the spam codeword, so that the GRM wizards can search for it and easily find the offending posts.

You can add

Correction, fecal matter is E36M3. Others are correct as Berkeley is the f-bomb, Costas is the female bits, A Shiny Happy Person is a A-hole.
Canoe is in reference to spammers as a canoe was decided by those before me to be the least possible thing GRM related.
I wouldn't call it clique-y either, just people having fun while keeping the board family/work safe.
Did you accidentally type "I hate ratrods and you guys are a bunch of ass-clowns" in the address field? That happens sometimes.

Actually, Canoe is the safe word.
Last I heard, it had something to do with Family Guy (where the actual safe word is Banana)
What the hell is up with this (killjoy) site??? They rejected twice with a earthlink email after I sent a email asking what I needed to do.....
They Suck!!!

Dear plance1, Unfortunately your registration at KillBillet.com "The Rat Rod Forum Dedicated to fun, low budget, traditional, rusty, patina Rat Rods and Old School Hot Rods built with junk yard parts." did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted. Sorry,KillBillet.com "The Rat Rod Forum Dedicated to fun, low budget, traditional, rusty, patina Rat Rods and Old School Hot Rods built with junk yard parts." Did they get ahold of my credit report? Talk to some of my ex-girlfriends? I wonder how I couldn't have met the requirements? I would be annoyed but I'm mostly amused.
Corner carvers got hit a week ago by a spammer . You got a PM telling you that you had a virus and to download the free antivirus at a link, which of course, gave you the virus. I had deleted this user from our forum the week before.

Yeah, I mod for a paintball forum and one manages to slip through the automatic countermeasures every couple of days. They usually get one or two posts in with links to various websites they are trying to drive traffic too before we can pounce on them. Some of them are very, very clever in disguising their spammy posts too.

In my first autocross, I had a canoe rack on top of my Supra, not so far off ;)

Apparently. The only thing I can figure is it's how you "make big money at home with your computer" like the sign on the telephone pole says. I don't think it's being done by an automated system.
You'll need to log in to post.
