The right turn signal detent won't cancel. Is this fixable by mere mortals with fair mechanical skills? Also what is the change interval on the timing belt and how nasty is that job. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies, any info about the turn signal problem? Any pointers on a front brake job, what to look out for? Thanks
Front brakes are obscenely easy on these cars. If you're just doing pads, it's literally a 30min job. If you're doing rotors the one thing I will tell you is get yourself a 7mm allen socket. The retainer bolts to keep the caliper itself on the mount are hex head, and it's a PITA to do it with a regular ol' hex key. Can't get enough torque on it. Beyond that, you do have those stupid caliper retainer clips that go around the outside of the caliper (the little bent up wire lookin' ones) and you'll probably want a good sized flathead to pop those loose. IIRC the front pads are held into the piston for the caliper itself with the spring clip things- So they can be rough to deal with if it's rusty.
Turn signals that won't cancel are usually the result of a broken plastic nib on some little PITA component in the steering column. Everyone I'v eever dealt with was old school with no airbag. Extreme caution is called for around the airbag removal. Oterh than that it's probably pretty straightforward but I've never been inside one on that model.
