It was a great game. I am very happy that we won, kinda happy it was a close game as it kept me drawn into the game, and nail biting. There was a table full of BAMA fans behind us at the local Gator's Dockside, talkin all kinds of trash. 4th quarter shut them right up.
I am seriously concerned though, with the BS of the BcS, we could potentially see Oklahoma vs. Texas if the computers don't think we are worthy enough, as they've averaged us at 6th in all of the computer polls.
Anywho..........it's GREAT to BE A FLORIDA GATOR (I went there for a year, money out of my pocket, I have a right to be a fan for all of you people who say "you don't/didn't go there why are you a fan?").
Every time, I am amazed at how close the oddsmakers can call a game. 10.5 point spread? 11 point FL win. Amazing.
At any rate (I'm a UA grad), I'm happy with the season for Alabama. After some of the last few years, I'll DEFINITELY take a undefeated regular season. Would it have been nice to win the SEC championship again (I was on campus in 99- that was FUN...)? Sure. Would it have been nice to play for the national title? Yup. Given the performance this year, though, I think we have a chance of being a contender for a little while, once the kids Saban's recruiting now get a little older, bigger, more experienced. And that's good enough for me.
I hadn't watched a single Florida game this season- were they all the Tim Tebow show like last night's game? There were some spectacular catches, for sure, but for the most part he seemed to be carrying the team.
Congrats, Florida- good game.

Actually, no. Last night was all Tim Tebow, but up til now, it's been a much more balanced attack. The issue last night was no Percy Harvin. And boy was his absence felt.
As I believe Urban Meyer said, the game was "vintage Tim Tebow." That was mostly how he played last season.
I don't think not having Percy is such a huge loss. We've blasted teams and he's only touched the ball 3 times....Alabama has a great team, even though they were #1 they were still underrated and they came out and proved everyone wrong. Bama's defense was a whole lot better than I thought and their offense knows how to control the line of scrimmage.
I am worried though, we could possibly see Texas vs. Oklahoma in the BCS National Title game, bullshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

I agree, that would be a travesty.
I think what we missed with Harvin is the fact that he is a huge burden for defenders. No matter what he does somebody (or multiple somebodys) are forced to watch him.
Texas v. Oklahoma? Heck, if people are going to think that way, what about Bama, Fl, Texas Tech, etc...
IMO, last night's game was the national championship! Go Gators! Alabama played one heck of a game. Hats off to them.
