Anybody have any tips on improving MPG on a 6.4L Ford? I have a 2012 F-150 Crew Cab King Ranch w/ 80,000 miles on it. I get 13 MPG in town and want to know if any of you have increased your MPG by mods or chips? Thanks for the help!

I checked over at fueleconomy.gov and the 2012 F150 4wd w/ 6.2L is rated for 12/13/16mpg. (if 2wd then 13/15/18mpg)
Congrats, your getting exactly what's expected, maybe even just slightly better than the 12 mpg city rating.
If it makes you feel better, my 2007 F250 5.4L and 2wd doesn't get any better.
Although what I'm suggesting is not legal, ditching the DPF will pretty instantly get you 20+ on the highway. It is not cheap or easy. It requires an illegal reflash of the computer and a removal of all the parts of the system.
You can get a couple MPG with a tune, but the DPF really kills it. Dad has two duramax trucks; an 05 and an 08. The 08 with the DPF gets 13 on the highway. The 05 without DPF gets 22 with a tune.

I think the title is wrong, and he's talking about the 6.2L gas engine. He's got a 2012 F150, not something that would have a 6.4 diesel.
