Man I love this airborne WiFi. It makes the skull-hammering living hell that is a Delta flight somewhat bearable.

Hmm, thought this was going to be about the Byrds, Rickenbacker guitars, or maybe tambourines ...

Roger McGuinn said that he wanted to mimic the sound of the valves opening and closing on John Coltrane's sax when he played the solo on that song.

I'd go with the least likely to make me sick... as in don't eat on the flight

I thought it was going to be about American Pie - the song dorks. It was eight miles high and falling fast, right?
Me to:
Helter skelter in a summer swelter.
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter,
Eight miles high and falling fast.
It landed foul on the grass.
The players tried for a forward pass,
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast.

That was actually a Byrds song.

would make the flight better, could have a nap too. Just like in real life.

Hmmm, I don't think so. That was pretty much the only decent song that Don McLean wrote, and he definitely wrote it. His career IS that song. You must be thinking about another song.
"8 Miles High" -The Byrds
"American Pie" -Don McLean
*EDIT...."McLean referred to this song in "American Pie", which chronicled the difference in musical styles from the 50's to the 60's." -some guy on a website

Nope, you misinterpreted what I was saying. I've studied the song at length; I even wrote a paper about it in high school.

What he said. If we want to go off topic about American pie, it is a fun one The Jester is probably Dylan, the music dying was Buddy Holly's plain crash, The Seargants are the Beetles... .
I'm going to go play this on guitar now
