AW wants her iPhone to connect automatically / wirelessly to some kind of CarPlay touchscreen for music, nav, phone. vehicle in question is 2010 Saab 9-3, OE audio system with AUX port.
what we have: the car and the iPhone
what we need: everything else.

These are made to attach to the dash with double stick tape, then run an aux cord to your factory stereo. Bingo! Wireless car play plus dash cam.
I have a bluetooth to AUX adapter in the clubman. simple and around $10, but you have to control it via your phone. My phone is in my pocket while I am driving so I tend to drive that car in silence.
Android auto is awesome. I have it in all my other cars and will add it to future cars

That's similar to the one I bought, maybe even the same brand. Only complaint I have is the 12v outlet I have it plugged into is constant on, not switched with ignition. So I have to remember to turn it on or off whenever I am parking for a long enough time I don't want it running. Could be fixed fairly easily if I cared enough.
