Broke my spendy eyeglasses. Optician said, "Sucker. Buy another pair -- can't repair 'em."

Internet says, if the frames are pure acetate, you can melt them back together with acetone. Tried this but it didn't work -- frames must not be pure acetate.

The frames LOL'd at super glue.

Before I suck it up and shell out for another pair, what do you know about other adhesives I might try?

You'll have to pin it as well - the glue can connect the joints, but it needs support. You'll need to drill a couple holes with a small pin vise and insert a couple appropriate-sized brass rods, then apply the adhesive. A good cyanocrylate should do the trick.... :) Any decent hobby shop should have all this stuff.
