RIP Mr. Toriyama. As a kid growing up watching Dragon Ball Z on Toonami, he was a part of my childhood years.

Something I learned recently was that he apparently had an absolutely terrible memory. If there was a character or plot point that vanished from one of his series, it's likely because he forgot about it. Like Launch from Dragon Ball. She was a pretty major character in Dragon Ball and then was nowhere to be seen in DBZ, and it was because he forgot she existed until someone asked about her, and by that point he was too far into the series to write her in. Also, he forgot that Android 18 had blonde hair and argued with his staffers that she had purple hair, and even animated her with purple, until being shown old frames from the series showing her with blonde hair.

Hopefully he got his paradise.

This was a tough one. RIP to a legend. 

Toriyama also was a bit of a gearhead.

He never made his stuff about cars, but he always snuck cool cars into his art.

Aside from the Dragon Ball stuff, he created the character design for a bunch of video games, including my favorite of all time: Chrono Trigger. 



This one hits hard. RIP Mr. Toriyama.
