(So I don't threadjack AngryCorvair's thread...)
We are up to 8" in York PA. Anticipated 11.5

If it lasts for more than four hours, seek medical attention...
we are anticipating 12 to 20 down here at the Shore.. took me an hour to do 12 miles. basically had to drive my Ti at idle to avoid spinning the Re050s
I should also mention... I made it all the way home with only a few problems.. until I pulled onto my street and promptly got stuck 10 feet from my driveway. Thanks to the kids across the street who were building an igloo for getting me out. and then refusing any money as a thankyou
My kid anticipates 12" in NYC, for $16/day he landed in a parking garage. Worth it!
Alternate parking every day with that amount of snow? There's a waiting list at his apartment for a spot inside, but he's on the list. $250/month to be inside? I didn't pay that for an apartment!

dang iPod keyboard
Got a half hour's use out of the snowblower before the drive gear popped off the axle again. This is an annual occurrence. I've welded the thing at least half a dozen times but it's hard to get a clean weld on a 1963 snowblower with the axle buried up inside the frame.
I hate winter.
In reply to 914Driver:
Yeah, it depends on where you are in the boros. I didn't have a problem when I was in Queens and the Bx. The parking situation is one of the reasons I never considered Manhattan to live.
We have about 18"+ here in Nottingham, Pa. Focus was getting around just fine, on my way back from tearing it up on some four wheelers.

It's a blue Suzuki GS750
The local NBC affiliate just got a new reporter from Tampa FL, so where do they put her?
Down a hill, on a sled in the middle of the blizzard!
Cute girl and everything but her name's Porsha....
The answer to the snow is NOT Miata. BTW. I left the windshield wipers up to keep them from sticking to the windshield. Can you see them? Neither can I.

Well that particular pile was a Smart car, there's another pile next to it that is believed to be the wifes Kia. I also have a miata shaped pile out there somewhere.
Its actually pretty good in the snow, rear drive with the engine over the drive wheels just like an old beetle. Like any small car it doesn't do so well when its piled this high, not so much for traction just can't clear the stuff. They still havent plowed our development so I probably cant get it out in the morning unless they do. Guess I'll be taking the Tahoe.
