That kid needs to be financially crippled for a LONG time.

This is what you're raising when you never say "no", parents of the world!!!

He should be castrated. Those aren't the sort of genes you want to pass on...

Pft, quite you conservative, unenlightened tightwad. Drugs make everything better in this world, they clearly should be legalized and everybody should be allowed to do lines of coke nightly if they so wish

Sry, local car forums with all of the "hip", "liberal", "educated", "drugs are great for you" people really irking me atm.

If there aren't any missing pieces that would change the story, I cant imagine why he is still allowed to drive. There was an incident in my town where a young driver had a medical issue while driving and killed a group of young children (I don't remember how many, but i think 2 or 3) and the DA called it road rage and threw the book at him, and after 3 years in jail he was found to be not guilty. Of course I don;t think he was ever going to be driving again, but that was not even really the point with that case. I kinda doubt thats the case with this one though.

I've seen an aweful lot of stupidity when slower traffic doesn't want faster traffic to pass for some dumb reason, but this guy takes the cake. I'm gonna go ahead an assume it's a "Magic Brownie" flavored cake, judging by the way he talks.

C'mon, now. Blaming this on any kind of drug is giving plain old stupidity less credit than it deserves.

He'll be just fine, the teen that is. The guy on the bike will have months of rehab, nightmares and will always be unsure when he's on his bike (if he ever gets on it again) and will suffer financial losses due to medical bulls and/or loss of work. But the punk kid will keep smoking bud and berkleying up everything while mommy bails him out of life. I'm telling you this. If I called my mom (when I was a kid, or now) and told her I was in jail for this type of thing and asked her to come bail me out she would have told me to find out how much rent is cuz she ain't coming to get me and I ain't coming home. I feel that is the reason I never did crap like that. I had decent parents.

Clearly what the teen did is wrong, and he should be severely punished, but why was the motorcyclist passing on a double yellow?

Believe me there will be a claim and possible lawsuit against this kids parents insurance. They may or may not have much coverage. The minimum limit in most states are $10 - $25k. Likely a settlement for policy limits if they are around or under $100k.

It won't really affect them too much aside from not being able to get insurance again. Maybe a civil suit.

I feel bad for the biker but I am also wondering if there isn't more to the story. A double yellow pass? Could have been some road rage on both sides.
