I think he's kind of hot...
Just trying to lighten the mood a little

I always thought the same thing
I tried watching it. While I like the character, the show itself just didn't flow for me, and I'm not into the 'gross' medical stuff. I'd also like to know how a person can have a 2 day beard growth...every single day.
2 day growth beard is easy. My face does not appreciate being shaven with a blade every day, so to keep things "tidy" I use clippers. They give me a 1-2 day growth every day.
yeah the first time I watched it I was not that interested, but now I watch the show all the time.
I was amazed hearing him speak normally compared to the American accent he uses on the show, it was night and day
I have to laugh, though. In all the episodes I've seen he's only been sued once.
In reality, a doctor like that wouldn't last a day without being fired, discredited, sued, kicked out of the state, and hung with a wet noodle.
Tidbits to watch for:
Lupus is (amost) always suggested as the cause at some point in every show.
When Hugh Laurie read for the part he thought the show's main character was Wilson!
One of my favorite characters (although I'll stop short of calling him "hot")
Ranks right up there with James Spader's Alan Shore (and of course William Shatner's Denny Crane) of Boston Legal.
I like unlikeable guys.
My cousin's wife just landed a regular role on Boston Legal (as Shore's ex-flame), but I don't know if she thinks Laurie is hot either. (how's that for chasing a rabbit??) I think I need some more coffee.

Doesn't House pickup a motorcycle?
It's a pretty good show, in small doses.
Character is kind of interesting. Having seen more than one episode, I don't find the show interesting. Every episode is the exact same format.
The final diagnosis is always totally goofy. And all the characters seem to trust how brilliant Dr. House is with his ability to make correct diagnoses on bizarre ailments... except that he makes 4 totally incorrect diagnoses and insists on radical treatments that, if the other characters actually listened to, would kill the patient. For some reason, on the 5th diagnosis, after 4 that would have killed the patient, the other characters cave and suddenly decide they trust him, and they just happen to get lucky.
If the other characters actually listened to him, every patient he saw would be dead, but he is somehow respected by his colleagues as someone who is Maverick but effective?

I don't watch it too often, but IIRC he was riding one of those REPSOL Honda copies, supposed to look like an RC51. Is he still riding the same bike?

Good call on the bike
As far Is I know it is still the same bike being used.
Oh yeah I think the new season starts tomorrow night.

House and Wilson's relationship hangs in the balance after Wilson's girlfriend (cut-throat bitch) died at the end of last season. what happens next? watch to find out!

D00d! I missed that! R. Lee Ermey is my freaking hero!
Oh, and really nice bike BTW. Too bad his car is like a K-platform New Yorker or some similar crap.

The whole R Lee thing kinda fits as his dad.
Anyway as for the car I don't know what his normal ride is but there was an episode that he received like a 65 or 66 Corvette Stingray convertible as a "gift" from a mobster.
In one of the episodes where he's working his way through the pool of replacement cadidates, he assigns a few of them to wash his car. It's a navy blue K New Yorker, I believe, which I was horribly disappointed to see.
