I didn't think it was that bad except that the screwed up locations were kinda annoying. There is a little part of my brain that can't let me ignore things like that, and when the money car(which was wrong for a number of reasons) punted a taxi into space and kept going.

I watched The Postman last week. That ruined my movie night.

What? Tell me you didn't at least laugh when Tom Petty shows up and says, "He man, I know you. You're famous!"

Usually I'm very careful about spoilers, and DID consider it before I shared that little tidbit, but honestly, it won't change anything--except just make you prepared so maybe you don't blow snot all over your couch when you do watch it. I'm here to help...

And thank you for that. Now I'll be sure not to watch it, because I hate it when my face gets all swollen and my nose stops up.

Oh, I laughed. A lot. And groaned. And just stared at the screen with a look of bovine incomprehension.

Sure, The Postman wasn't great. But, really, we've all seen worse, right? I'd watch The Postman over Waterworld any day!

And I cried at the end of Marley and Me, too. I cried at the end of Old Yeller. I cried during the part of Stripes when John TALKS about crying at the end of Old Yeller.

Well ok, maybe that was over the top. But, while I didn't cry, I was very touched by the whole opening of Up! and I'm with Carl.

Haven't seen Pelham yet, but it's on the queue. I didn't expect greatness. Good to know I won't be disappointed!

We just finished Terminator: Salvation. Talk about a letdown! The elevator pitch sounds like an incredible movie! John Connor breaks in to Skynet HQ to rescue his father, before he sends him back in time. The execution was not brilliant.

I rarely cry during movies. I saw Marley and me about a month after my dog died. Yeah. Lets just say that I had a puffy face for the rest of the day.

In your wifes defense, i though it was a terribly sad movie...being a Disney movie and all. just my 2 cents

Pixar ain't Disney...or at least, wasn't when the thing was being made.

And animation ain't just for kids. Surrealism began as an "adult" (no, not that kind of adult) art form, and animation is even better at expressing it than stills.

Many of us who love animation actually hate Walt for popularizing the art form as something exclusively "for" children. Jeez, when's the last time you saw a Salvador Dali print in a kid's classroom?

There's a very good reason the Japanese stuff is so popular with animation fans around the world..those folks seem to almost instinctively understand that fact.

I feel the opposite, but maybe it's because I grew up on the beach instead of the plains. I'll take sailboats over -spit- horses eight days a week.

I actually kinda like Mission Hill. Reminds me of the neighborhood/situation I was in when I first hit Atlanta.

For those of you familiar with Atlanta Metro, that'd be Virginia-Highlands in the mid 1980s.

You mean adult swim before it was just family guy, king of the hill, and utterly retarded shows.

I miss the old adult swim
