Had a PFT w/ associated tests at the local hospital today per my physicians orders. The Respiratory Therapist has been in the biz for 45 years, knows her E36 M3. While we didn't know which specific Spirometry test qualifies for respirator use... I passed every one w/ over 70%. Winning!
Previously, my Department Manager suggested they could use my independent test results as proof for qualification. We'll see how that holds up.
I feel a lot better now even if I have to take their test over again.
So, what did you do to improve your numbers?

Not very much at all. Been on Spiriva maybe 4-5 days. Got Symbicort yesterday but haven't used it yet. Haven't seen a Pulmonary specialist yet. Couldn't walk for exercise because I berkeleyed up my knee big time. Limited use w/ the breathing exerciser but I did practice breathing on my commute, nothing that would amount to that much IMO.
I owe a lot to Cheryl, the Respiratory Therapist, totally professional. She coached me though small things like correct posture and breathing rhythm etc. She made me relaxed and wanna work for it, lovely lady too.
The company test site was nothing near the hospital lab. Meh.
Still need to quit smoking, need a script for Chantix. Will start my walks again after the knee is healed up, lose weight. It's a damn good start.
Confident I could pass their test again. More so after cessation and exercise.
